Another week, another battle. This time against another faction I’ve never faced, the Eldar Aeldari! This faction would be a different prospect - more mobility and psychic witchery. This turned out to be an underestimate. See below for the report…
Side note: I didn’t change my Chat GPT prompt significantly, but you can see how Chat GPT-4 is evolving. This is starting to look a bit more like an AAR (I made some light edits to clarify some inaccuracies it introduced).
AFTER ACTION REPORT - OPERATION STEEL FALCON
FROM: Marshal 100523, Officer Commanding, Vilniaus 39th, Astra Militarum TO: High Command SUBJECT: Ambush by Xenos Aeldari Forces
EXECUTION SUMMARY
Detachment composed of two Leman Russ Battle Tanks (Captain Tread, commanding), one Cadian Shock Platoon (Marshal 100523, commanding), and a squad from 117th Mordian Iron Guard embarked on a mission behind enemy lines. Objective was compromised due to an unexpected ambush.
Our forces prepare to advance .
INCIDENT REPORT
Initial enemy contact occurred at a transitional point between industrial zones, wherein our infantry platoon was assailed by unidentified winged entities, later verified as Eldar Swooping Hawks. Limited casualties incurred. Hostile units subsequently disengaged.
Swooping Hawks appear out of the skies to pepper our forces.
Anticipating increased enemy presence, a general advance was ordered. Strategic positioning was as follows: Leman Russ Tanks to the left flank, 117th Mordian Iron Guard at centre, Cadian Shock Platoon holding the right flank within an industrial complex.
Moderate enemy fire encountered during advance, with enemy snipers causing damage to tank optics. Countermeasures proved successful with the neutralisation of one sniper squad by the punisher gatling cannon.
The tanks advance to engage the enemy.
Mordian Iron Guard Chimera transport was critically damaged due to indirect artillery fire. Infantry forces disembarked under hostile fire from re-emerging Swooping Hawks. All contact subsequently lost.
Enemy infantry, identified as Eldar Fire Dragons, engaged our left flank, resulting in the destruction of one Leman Russ. Enemy infantry successfully evaded retaliation.
Moments before disaster, Fire Dragons can be seen emerging from the building to engage the Leman Russes.
Cadian Shock Platoon engaged in close combat by Howling Banshees, sustaining heavy casualties.
The infantry is set upon by a screeching squad of banshees.
TACTICAL WITHDRAWAL
Faced with escalating enemy force and decreasing operational viability, decision was made to enact a tactical withdrawal. Rearguard actions provided by Captain Tread ensured safe retreat of remaining forces.

FURTHER ACTIONS
Recommendation for comprehensive analysis of the events is submitted for improved tactical acumen against Eldar strategies. Future missions should account for potential Eldar interference.
