Updates this week
I made good progress this week, finally getting to zero work-in-progress (WIP) after completing the Bullgryns. This has been a key aim of mine as I’ve historically had a few too many units on the go at once.

Now that I’ve had this blog a few weeks, it’s nice to see how much this has helped me keep things ‘on track’ - not that there is a deadline or anything. Since I started I’ve completed:
Bullgryns
Cadian Command Squad
Ordinance Field Guns
Imperial Navy Breachers
Sentinel
Granted, some of these were WIP when I began, it definitely feels like velocity has increased. Long may it continue!
What’s up next
Next up I’m going to experiment at batch-painting at a scale I’ve never done before. I still have 30 Cadian Shock Troopers left from the two sets of Cadia Stands, and also a rogue trooper that I got for free at a Warhammer shop recently (I reckon he’ll become a regimental advisor, nice excuse to experiment with a different uniform).
Now that the Cadian Upgrade sprue has released, this has also been an opportunity to use some of these new bits, they will certainly add a bit more character to the already fantastic sculpts. Watch this space! As a teaser, here’s a new NCO of the Vilniaus 39th - aptly-named Sergeant Axe.
This also gave me an opportunity to take a new gadget for a spin - a spray stick! Fantastic bit of kit. Previously my method has been blu-tac and a box, which results in lots of waiting around and touchups. Using the spray stick, I got a squad of 10 painted in just a few minutes!
